Welcome to The Bethel Park Cheerleading Program

At Bethel Park High School, cheerleading has grown from a proud tradition of school spirit into a nationally recognized, championship-caliber competitive program. What began decades ago on the sidelines has evolved into one of Pennsylvania’s premier gameday and competitive teams — built on excellence, leadership, and unwavering Black Hawk pride.
Cheerleading has long been a cornerstone of the Bethel Park School District. As the program entered the modern competitive era, the creation of a dedicated spirit squad propelled Bethel Park onto the state and national stage. Through disciplined training, elite performance standards, and a culture rooted in teamwork, the program quickly established itself as a powerhouse.
Our legacy of achievement includes:
  • 2016 UCA National & World Champions at the UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship
  • 2017 & 2018 PIAA State Champions
  • 2018 & 2019 WPIAL Champions
  • Multiple UCA Regional Championships
  • 2026 — 7th in the Nation in the UCA NHSCC DII Small Varsity Gameday Division
These milestones reflect more than titles — they represent the commitment, resilience, and passion of the athletes and coaches who have shaped Bethel Park Cheerleading into a program recognized across Pennsylvania and the nation.
Built on tradition. Driven by excellence. United by pride.

Community Engagement

At Bethel Park High School, our commitment extends far beyond the mat. Bethel Park Cheerleading believes true leadership is measured not only by championships but by service, impact, and community pride. Our athletes are dedicated to uplifting others, supporting meaningful causes, and inspiring the next generation of cheerleaders.

Supporting Important Causes

We proudly give back through partnerships and awareness initiatives that matter to our community, including:

  • Supporting the Joey Fabus Childhood Cancer Foundation

  • Participating in initiatives for Smiles for Sean

  • Promoting Breast Cancer Awareness through our annual FNL Pink Out games

Through fundraising, event participation, and visible advocacy, our athletes use their platform to stand for something bigger than themselves.

Youth Development & Mentorship

Bethel Park Cheer is deeply connected to the future of our program. We actively work alongside the Bethel Park Junior Cheerleading (BPJC), building strong relationships between high school athletes and youth participants.

Our team:

  • Teaches dances, sidelines, and cheers

  • Hosts youth cheer clinics

  • Leads instructional camps focused on skill development and confidence

  • Serves as mentors and role models for young athletes

By investing in youth cheerleaders, we strengthen the foundation of our program and inspire the next generation of Black Hawks.

Hosting the South Hills Showdown

Bethel Park Cheer proudly hosts the annual South Hills Showdown, a competition that showcases the talent, drive, and hard work of teams throughout the South Hills and greater Pittsburgh area. This event brings together programs to celebrate athleticism, sportsmanship, and community spirit while providing a premier competitive experience close to home.
